Sushi Hana (すし華) is a sushi restaurant near Shimbashi Station that serves high-end sushi at night but offers a relatively accessible omakase sushi lunch.
For around ¥6,000, it provides a satisfying counter sushi experience — a nice option when you want something a little special for lunch.

🗣 English Support & Practical Notes
The restaurant does not clearly advertise an English menu, but ordering is relatively straightforward since the lunch service focuses on omakase sushi.
Visitors comfortable with omakase dining should find the experience manageable even with limited Japanese.
Because the restaurant is located near Shimbashi Station, it is used to business customers and likely sees occasional international guests.
A Quality Sushi Lunch in Shimbashi
Shimbashi is an area with a large number of sushi restaurants.
From casual neighborhood shops to high-end sushi counters, there are many options to choose from.

On this day I visited Sushi Hana, looking for something simple:
A slightly better sushi lunch.
Omakase Lunch Course
I ordered the omakase sushi lunch course, priced at around ¥6,000.
At dinner, the restaurant operates more like a high-end sushi restaurant, but the lunch course offers a much more approachable way to enjoy the chef’s work.
For this price, the quality felt very satisfying.
Carefully Prepared Sushi
The sushi itself was excellent.
One standout piece was the tuna (maguro).

The texture was smooth and rich, melting gently in the mouth.
Another distinctive aspect of the restaurant is that the head sushi chef is a woman, which is still relatively uncommon in traditional sushi counters.

Her movements behind the counter were quick and precise, and the attention to detail in both service and preparation was noticeable.
The Counter Sushi Experience
The restaurant is centered around a sushi counter, with what appears to be private seating toward the back.

Sushi is always enjoyable, but eating at the counter adds another layer to the experience.
Each piece arrives at a comfortable rhythm — not rushed, not slow — allowing you to enjoy the progression of the meal.
Sushi That Works for Lunch
At night, Sushi Hana operates as a high-end sushi restaurant.
Lunch, however, offers the opportunity to experience that same quality at a more approachable price.
That contrast is part of the appeal.
The meal finished with a small dessert, adding a pleasant final touch.
Even for lunch, the experience felt complete.
A Small Lunch Scene
At the counter, one guest was enjoying sushi alone.
Nearby, another group appeared to be having a business lunch.
Compared to dinner service, sushi restaurants at lunchtime often feel slightly lighter and more relaxed.
It’s a different atmosphere — but one I enjoy.
⭐ Final Thoughts
Rating: ★4.1 / 5
A solid sushi lunch option in Shimbashi.
With so many sushi restaurants in the Shimbashi–Tamachi area, I would still like to explore other places — but if the opportunity arises, I would happily return.
